👀 TIP - use a stamp that has either a matching die or punch - unless you like fussy cutting, I know some people who do. I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set (its one of my favourites!). It really is such a versatile stamp set. I also used the Butterfly Duet Punch which made it so much faster than fussy cutting the images out myself.
Here is my first creation 👇
Additionally, I used the Stampin'' Blends to colour the butterflies and the Stampin' Up! Mini Stampin' Dimensional (adhesive backed foam squares). They come in two sizes, regular and mini. The mini is best for this technique. I have to say that I really enjoyed colouring the butterflies, it was so relaxing!
This is the second card made with the floating frame technique.
I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the middle out but also used them to create the frame around the focal image.
I recommend using the thick Whisper White cardstock. As I was out of the thick, I used the normal Whisper White card and added two more cardstock rectangles on the inside of the card, it added colour and strength.
I had a blast creating these cards and Im sure you will too! I'm looking forward to making more cards using this technique.
