Hello and welcome to my blog! Thank you so much for joining us for our Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! I am thrilled that you found us today for this blog hop. You will find so many ideas and creative inspiration. I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Australia, taking part in this blog so I can reach some goals that I have set for the next twelve months. I truly appreciate your support!
You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.
Here is the project that I've made for our hop today.
I created this card for my friend's husband's birthday. He loves cars and photography and seeing as I have this cool Geared Up Garage stamp set, I knew I had to create a card using it. Sometimes having a reason to create makes it easier to decide on the stamp set.
Geared Up Garage also has matching dies, called Garage Gears, which are great for male cards and steampunk projects. I used Grey Granite to sponge over the gears to give it more of an aged effect. I also used the largest circle die from Stitched Shapes die set and used a dauber to stamp the edge. I love the stitched edging.
I stamped the image, sentiment (heat embossed with clear embossing powder) and edges with Stampin' Ink Grey Granite. I love how the Balmy Blue cardstock and the Grey Granite work together.
Look at that gorgeous background paper. Would you believe me if I said it's from a floral set of papers? It's from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). It's the one under the green leaf sheet on the right hand side. That sheet is very subtle which is good for male or female cards.
Lastly, I adhered Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card after I stamped the edges and the images.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Before you go please leave a comment. 😍
If you live in Australia and you don't have a demonstrator, I would love to help you with your creative needs and desires.
Until next time,
