Cards made on World Card Making Day!

Hi Friends, last Saturday was World Card Making Day. My friend Chrissy, hosted an event for the afternoon. It was a great afternoon, we all had so much fun knowing we were making cards for the Australian troops to send to their loved ones. Card makers donated hundreds of cards, I think the total was over 600 cards. There is nothing better than getting together for a cause! If you ever get the opportunity, you should experience one of these events. Chrissy had three beginners there so she did an introduction to stamping and then the ladies were off, making cards like there was no tomorrow! Importantly, card making isn't just for the ladies! Men are also welcome to join in.

These are the cards I made for the troops.

I love the cards above because they come from Nature's Beauty that Stampin' Up! donates $4.25 from each set sold to various mental health organisations.

I saw this colour idea on Pinterest a few weeks ago. My favourite was the top card, I stamped off which gave the colour a lighter shade.  I loved creating with this bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set and matching dies. I used the smoke stamp from Geared Up Garage stamp set.

If you would like to learn how to make your own handmade greeting cards to wow your family and friends, contact me today, using the form in the top right hand corner.

If you don't have a demonstrator and live in Australia, I would love to help you with your creative journey.

Until next time
Stay inky!
